I am a professional photographer based in Cambridge, MA. Having originally trained as a scientist with a specialty in photographing the natural world at the atomic level using x-rays, in the second half of my life my visible light photography has transitioned from a passionate pastime into a second career.
My work has been published in print both here in the U.S. and in Europe, featured online on popular arts and culture websites like Popular Photography and Mashable, and was selected for an exhibition in NYC organized by the Marc Jacobs Design Group. I have also worked with the City of Boston Arts and Culture office as a photographer supporting their Artists In Residence program.
In 2014 I was approached by a Vermont conservation group to photograph an iconic Vermont farm that was featured in the original Farm Security Administration’s (FSA) catalog of photography of rural American life in the 1920s and 1930s.
My clients include companies from a wide range of sectors, including retail, publishing, music, independent film production, hospitality, law, energy, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, medical, veterinary and education.
